While Amazon will pay you for the allotted block if you deliver in less time than estimated, these estimates don’t account for factors outside of driving, such as navigating large apartment buildings, leading to a ‘99% probability that you will exceed your block end time.’ If you go over that time, you aren’t paid for it. 2022.01.25 14:52 Nagasadri Animated skybox in HDRP ?

Hey guys !
I'm a game artist working on a personal project running on HDRP. In it, the player controls a ship in 3rd person similarly to games like Everspace or Chorus. I'm no dev and have 0 experience working with HLSL. Seeing you can simply plug a shader graph material into the scene's skybox material in URP, i was hoping you could do the same in HDRP but it seems to be more complicated than that.
After a couple hours searching the internet and messing around with the few relevant settings i could find, it seems the only way to animate a skybox in HDRP is through the physical sky, but that assumes you're on a planet's surface and within its atmosphere which doesn't work for my project.
Replacing the physical sky with an HDRI sky seems closer to what i want, but it only accepts cubemaps and not materials, so i can't work my shader graph magic with it.
Is there a way to make a shader graph-based skybox in HDRP ? Maybe somehow link the output of a shader graph to a cubemap before feeding it to the HDRI sky ?
If not, how would you guys go about it ?
Thanks for the help.

2022.01.25 14:52 ktdotnova [SPOILER] Confused about the Maya situation

I'm confused about the whole situation Maya situation. - Her superiors (the FBI?) switch up on her at the last second and want to give Navarro 5 years to stay in power and then he gets immunity - She gets upset (why? was Navarro supposed to get jail time under the original scenario and she gets pissed?) - Isn't the older male and female her bosses/superiors at the FBI? How can she just circumvent stuff and call in a task force to arrest Navarro?
Thanks in advance!

2022.01.25 14:52 Luigi4518 Grim Darkness by the Blast Furnace Light - Prologue Earth (Warhammer Fantasy) (ISOT)

The United States, Earth - Tuesday, May 12th, 1998 - 11:14 PM Onwards
With nearly 100 feet of earth and reinforced concrete between themselves and the outside, the operators of a North American Aerospace Defence Command bunker monitored banks of screens and data outputs, all dutifully watching the space above the North American continent.
While designed to be able to detect several different things Norad's powerful sensors are most commonly known as being designed to detect and pinpoint the burst of high energy associated with the initiation of nuclear devices, much like the one currently blooming in Pennsylvania, almost on top of Pittsburgh.
‘Woow; holy shit, hey you also seeing this? Hey I Need A CO Here’, an operator cries as energy, displayed as a small cluster of white dots continues to intensify and expand ever so much. Orders were barked and the activity in the room heightened as the commanding officer, taking a good look at several screen readings, turned and headed for the small cluster of phones adorning his desk.
A white phone, used for internal communications within the bunker was employed only periodically per shift, a blue phone mounted beside was for outside communications with other Norad centres, air force installations and other military facilities and was employed often and sometimes for long periods of time. He reached down and lifted the receiver of the blue phone, keyed in one of several dozen listed numbers and connected to a sister monitoring bunker. Nearly two minutes later he ended the call with a third sister station; placing the blue receiver down on it’s cradle.
He breathed, Each Had Confirmed.
His hand settled on and lifted the receiver of the red phone, this was a special phone, one which any officer in charge of a sensor monitoring station may only have occasion to call once in their entire career, a very special moment requiring the highest level of response and this was his.

The Pennsylvanian countryside moved swiftly beneath two F-18 Super Hornets, their destination is the site of, if the preliminary calculations had been correct, the biggest nuclear initiation in history at 89 megatons, but as the pilots approached ground zero they saw nothing to suggest such an event of that scale had occurred, there was no crater nor was there miles of flattened burning countryside, but something had happened, the sensors that both F-18’s had equipped were still reading higher than background energy around the area not to mention that a little over 1.5 million people over 6 counties had neither electricity nor telephones.
At Norad the situation was no better, confusion gripped radar stations across the country, the readings which not even 20 minutes ago had been a brilliant white cluster of pixels on radar displays were now not much more than a smudge, slightly brighter than background and dropping fast.
Still the printouts and digital backups said otherwise, something unprecedented had just occurred, an event of unprecedented magnitude arriving without warning and then disappearing all the same leaving little more than a seemingly untouched landscape and dissipating energy almost indistinguishable from background radiation levels.
Over the following days and weeks scientists would examine every inch of the findings and, to their relief at least a few questions were answered. Was it a computer glitch? No, civilian and international monitoring agencies, even weather and air traffic radar had all picked it up, not to mention the wide reaching blackout.
If not a computer glitch then what about a weapon? That hypothesis came up empty as no launch had been detected, no missile in flight; nor could any known weapon currently in existence in the arsenal of any nation state or terrorist organisation produce an energy output that large that then virtually disappeared seconds after, even the eggheads in Los Alamos couldn’t pull a stunt like that.
As the analysis of sensor data continued to provide little headway the primary focus of the investigation moved on to the very heart of the mystery, ground zero was a deep semi-dry forest of alpine conifers mixed with beech, oak and a percentage of fir’s that lined the Ohio river on both banks and extended inland covering almost 100 square miles. It was local Pennsylvanians, members of the state police and national guard who arrived first and saw the wall of foliage in a way no jet mounted camera ever would, and they were confused and not just from when they saw route 65 or 68 or 18 or the interstate or hell anything come to an abrupt end at the forest edge. No that could be pushed aside in the mind, ignored in favour of focusing on their duties at hand, what really confused them was the forest itself, some walked these forests, many hunted within and what they were looking at now looked different, they couldn’t quite explain why but they knew and could point out the plants they believed were out of place.
Behind them came the foresters of the US park service, who’s investigation turned confusion to concern for what the locals knew by gut feeling the foresters confirmed as the comparisons with other Pennsylvanian forests and then even North American forests showed great discrepancies. It would be after reaching out to international experts that the forest would be discovered to be European in composition, well nearly, the results were not nearly a perfect match. Just another question.
Along with the foresters came geologists from the geological service and they again made disturbing discoveries as they took samples from hill slopes that seemed like they were not quite accurately aligned and from drills as they bored deep into the earth. The ground at ground zero was not the same ground as the rest of the state or even ten feet away back under the road, in fact the deep dill cores exposed that the misalignment on the surface extended far deeper. More questions.
And then the pentagon with the approval of the sitting president ordered the deployment of federal troops to bolster Pennsylvanian national guard when the reconnaissance helicopters employing mounted thermal cameras caught glimpses of movement, figures between the near impenetrable canopy, glimpses of things that ground teams on closer investigations never found and so the fences went up.
The search parties nevertheless found things that were out of place when considering the otherwise wild state of the forest, tracks too permanent and well worn to be from animals, totems and other made objects, some of which quickly found themselves with a higher security classification than the president, but no one ever found an answer to what would eventually become the US governments and the world's largest question.
If one were to compare a map to ground zero's latest satellite imagery they would immediately see one glaring contradiction. Arlingville Pennsylvania, a city of a little more than 146,000 people, situated on the Ohio river, a little under an hour's drive to Pittsburgh, Arlingville was not supposed to be an old growth forest.

G'day HFY, first post from a long time lurker so hopefully this was an enjoyable read. More planed in the near future as I'm fairly excited about seeing where this will go.
Also to keep Gdubs happy, I'm not the owner of Warhammer nor is this affiliated with the black library.
An aside, I'm not American nor do I live in America so while I endeavour to be as accurate as possible, research may not cover everything so if you come across anything while reading feel free to correct me, I'll be quite happy to make corrections.

2022.01.25 14:52 SarmageSayHooah A history of philosophy in cartoon/graphic novel format

I got this from a library sometime in the late 90's, so it definitely wasn't Michael Patton's Cartoon Introduction to Philosophy from 2015 (though I highly recommend that book).
Besides the dates not matching Patton's book and the copy I have not matching my memory, it was a very different sort of book. It was fairly thick and comprehensive and was more a history of western thought than an introduction to philosophical concepts. The art style and snarky tone reminded me very much of Larry Gonick's Cartoon Guide series, but I can't find any reference to a philosophy-based entry in that series.
Does anyone know where I should start looking for this? I have specific memories of how it illustrated certain things, but nothing about the book itself other than it reminding me of Gonick's, which I would have read around the same time.

2022.01.25 14:52 IvanJerkinov Zooming problem

finger gestures to zoom out aren't working properly on my new device. I can zoom in with gestures and I can come back to normal by pinching, but can't zoom out more than normal.
I have to go to settings and then manually change zoom to less than 100% to zoom out. I tried it in Edge, and its working perfectly there, so there is no problem in my laptop. It worked just fine on my old laptop.
There is a difference here though. My new device's trackpad doesn't have left and right click buttons (similar to a mac). I thought that might have something to do with it.
